It facilitates translation assistance during travels abroad, allowing users to quickly identify ingredients such as "Lubina" on a Spanish menu simply by utilizing their smartphone.

As an encyclopedia of foods and culinary products, the app includes at least one photograph for each entry, assesses culinary quality, and supplies scientific names where applicable. The descriptions consolidate the most pertinent culinary details, along with practical suggestions for use in cooking and preparation. While informative, the app does not serve as a traditional cookbook.

Translation features are particularly useful for travelers, presenting food names in five languages—English, French, German, Spanish, and Italian—enabling menu translation, inquiries at markets, and clarifications about specific ingredients such as cheese made with raw milk.

The search functionality allows users to browse by individual ingredients or within 21 organized categories, including “Fish,” “Vegetables and Legumes,” “Herbs and Seasonings,” “Cheese,” “Seafood,” and “Sausages and Ham,” among others.

A favorites function enables users to save interesting or important items for quick future reference with a simple tap. Additionally, the app operates offline without requiring an internet or data connection, ensuring reliable access to all content whether abroad or in remote locations.
